"Your eye for geography grows sharp. Your legs attend the lost world of contours, the dales and hills that are ironed out by internal combustion."

Hans Rubi at GRT“The ride and the moment is the focus of the tour. Not the future and not the past.”  This statement by Hans Rubi sums up his recent 3 month tour of Indochina.  Hans visited the GRT store after a long bicycle journey that began in Hong Kong and took him through Guilin, Kunming, down to Lao through Luang Prabang and to Vientiane and finally down south through Lao to Cambodia.  While Hans found Vietnamese food to be much better than Lao food he reminisced about how great it was to be greeted by the Lao children with shouts of “Sabaidee!”  Hans was a wealth of information regarding current touring conditions in Indochina including the news that it was possible to do a border crossing into Vietnam and Cau Treo.  For those planning a trip it’s always a good idea to double check points of entry before planning an itinerary. Hans hit the following points during his extended tour: Thakek, Sepo, Savanaket, Pakxong, Khongxedon, Pakse, Champasak, Khong neua.  He stopped at Lak Xao and found accommodation at Nakai – Neua.  Hans completed his journey to our South Saigon location after entering Vietnam at An Loc and travelling from An Loc to Ho Chi Minh City.  Thanks for stopping by Hans.  We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
